Shot Cloud
Shot Cloud draws your launch monitor shots and your past on-course shots on the hole you are playing, around the target you are considering, so your real dispersion is visible on the ground you are about to hit into and the strokes gained for that target already reflects it.
A dispersion number is an abstraction. Shot Cloud is the thing itself: every shot you have hit with that club, laid over the fairway, the rough, the bunkers and the water in front of you, centred on the target you are considering. Move the aim and the cloud moves with it. The strokes gained shown for that target is priced on the same spread you are looking at, so the picture and the number agree.
The shots come from two sources PinFlag keeps separate: launch monitor sessions you import (Trackman, Garmin and Rapsodo directly, any other monitor by CSV) and shots you have logged on the course, each of which carries where you aimed and where it finished. Switch between launch monitor, past rounds or all sessions, trim the longest and shortest shots, and read the confidence grade that says how much of your own data stands behind the cloud.
Once your own carries are in, Shot Cloud also shows the distance the target plays like for that club, so a range number becomes a course decision on one screen.

What it does
- Your launch monitor shots and past on-course shots drawn on the hole, around the target you pick
- Two sources, never blended: imported sessions and logged rounds, switchable and labeled
- Trim the longest and shortest shots to see the pattern you hit most of the time
- A confidence grade (high, medium, low) that says how much of your own data stands behind the cloud
- The strokes gained for the target priced on the same spread the cloud shows
- Plays-like distance for the club once your own carries stand behind it
- A Set Dispersion editor for any club, with every number built on it labeled
- Works in preview before you play and live during the round
Why it matters
- The question on every tee is how much of your spread reaches the trouble. Shot Cloud answers it with your own shots rather than a feeling.
- A tucked pin, a water carry and a layup are three different pictures with three different numbers, and you can look at all three before choosing.
- The pattern is measured from real rounds as well as the range, because every logged shot records the target and the result.
- The label tells you what stands behind the cloud: Measured from your own data, Estimated from a benchmark until your data exists.
How it works
- 1
Pick the club and the target
Put the aim anywhere on the hole. The cloud for that club draws around it.
- 2
Read the spread and the number
See how much of your dispersion lands where you want it, and the strokes gained of that target priced on the same spread.
- 3
Move the aim and compare
Slide to the fat side or the layup. The cloud and the number move together, and the difference is the cost of the aggressive line.
What is different
- Your actual shots on the actual hole, around the target you chose, priced live.
- Two sources kept honest: launch monitor and logged rounds, switchable, never averaged into one.
- A confidence grade on the cloud, so an early pattern is visible as an early pattern.
