Every student, one dashboard

PinFlag shows every student’s stats and strokes gained, with combines and leaderboards. Students get live predictive strokes gained on the hole you are playing.

You teach, and between lessons your students disappear. They come back and tell you they played badly, or well, and you have their word for it and a swing you can watch. What you do not have is what happened on the course: which decisions they made, which shots cost them, and whether the thing you worked on last month has actually moved.

The problem

  • A student’s account of their round is not evidence. Everyone remembers the three worst holes and nobody remembers the eleven ordinary ones where the strokes actually went.
  • Rosters need one baseline to be compared. Two students who both shot 88 on different courses are not the same golfer, and one number each that ignores the difficulty says almost nothing.
  • Progress is hard to prove to a parent or a committee. Scores move with the weather and the course; something has to hold those constant before improvement is visible.
  • The practice plan usually works the smallest leak. Across handicaps the long game carries roughly two thirds of the gap to a tour field, across 14 shots, while putting carries about a seventh across 30 strokes.

How many students does the Coach plan cover?
You plus up to ten students at $80 a month, with 20 percent off billed annually. The trial covers you plus two students so you can run it on real people rather than on yourself.
Do my students each need their own subscription?
No. The Coach plan covers them. Each student logs rounds in the app on their own iPhone and is measured on the same baseline as the rest of the roster.
What is a combine?
A structured skills test scored in strokes gained, with a leaderboard, run across your roster on the same day. It turns a squad session into something with a number attached that you can repeat later and compare.
Can I see every shot a student hits?
You see what they log, with the lie and distance behind each number and the strokes gained it produced, in one dashboard across the roster rather than one account at a time.
