Measured or Estimated: what's the difference?
Every number in PinFlag carries a label that says what stands behind it. Measured means it is built from your own recorded data: launch monitor carries you imported, shots you logged with their aim and result, a pin you placed on the green. Estimated means a benchmark pattern is standing in until your own data exists. The two are never blended; exactly one source stands behind any figure, and the label tells you which. Importing a session or logging rounds moves numbers from Estimated to Measured on their own, and Shot Cloud shows a confidence grade so an early pattern is visible as an early pattern. The label is what makes a strokes gained number before the swing trustworthy: you always know whether the spread the number is priced on is yours.

Most apps grade rounds after. PinFlag, in the iOS app, shows your strokes gained for any target before you swing, with your own dispersion and the real lie priced in, and draws your launch monitor shots and past shots on the hole you are playing (Shot Cloud). Two taps log each shot, and every round becomes a per-shot breakdown of where the strokes went.
