Score Killers and the round breakdown
The shots that cost whole strokes, the shots that decided the round, and the ledger they sit in.
What counts as a Score Killer in PinFlag?
A three-putt, a two-chip, a penalty and a double bogey or worse: the mistakes that cost a whole stroke or more on the published tables. Score Killers totals them per round and across the season, so the fastest way to a lower score is a single card rather than a hunt through the shot list.
How much do Score Killers cost?
On the published tables a tee shot out of bounds on a 400 yard hole costs 2.05 strokes, a three-putt from 20 feet 1.12 and one from 40 feet 0.94. Each is a full stroke or more on its own, which is why one fewer per round is worth more than any range session.
Can I see my best and worst shots in PinFlag?
Yes. Every shot carries its own strokes gained, the round view ranks the shots that won and lost the round, and the per-shot list sorts by start distance, lie or proximity, so the three shots that decided a round are findable in seconds.
What is the hole trail in PinFlag?
Every hole’s shots drawn on the map in order, from the tee to the hole, with the target and the result of each. It shows where a double bogey actually came from, the drive into the trees or the chip that stayed out, and it is built from the positions you placed while you played.
How does PinFlag build the scorecard?
From the shots. Strokes, putts and penalties per hole are derived from what you logged rather than typed beside it, so the card and the analysis can never disagree, and a round is saved only when every hole and every shot are logged. The card can be shared as a scorecard.
Does PinFlag show strokes gained by category on one screen?
Yes. Insights shows driving, approach, short game and putting on a radar per round and across the season, so a round that was hit well and putted badly reads at a glance, and each category opens into its own breakdowns by distance band, lie and club.
Can I share a round from PinFlag?
Yes, as a scorecard, and every round exports as CSV or JSON whenever you want the data itself. The per-shot ledger stays in the app, repriceable under any benchmark lens afterwards.
What is the per-shot list in PinFlag?
Every shot of the round with its lie, start distance, finish and strokes gained, sortable by start distance, lie or proximity. It is the ledger the scorecard is derived from, and it is how a coach or a golfer audits a number rather than trusting it.
